April Order Delays
Orders placed in April were delayed 2-3 weeks. The delay was due to increased order volume and a lack of freshly made, ready to ship products. Because all of our products are freshly made in small batches, it took all of April to catch up. As of yesterday afternoon, all products have been made and orders are shipping. The last orders from April are shipping today May 8th and tomorrow May 9th. Orders are now shipping within 48 hours as per the shipping schedule below. If you have any questions about the status of your order please feel free to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or through the contact form here on our website. Please note that shipping carriers may also be experiencing delays so your order may take longer than usual to arrive once shipped. Orders shipping USPS may also take longer then usual to be scanned into the tracking system due to staffing shortages. Please contact us if you have a concern about your order.
The last few weeks have brought some unprecedented changes into our lives and we are living in a new reality. I, like many other small business owners, have been trying to understand the current state of doing business and keeping my footing in the constantly shifting sands of our world. Luckily, as an online business, I have been able to remain open and am here to serve all of our community.
As an owner of a vintage-inspired brand as well as a lover of history, it is strange to think we are living through an event that will make a large mark in the history books. I've studied many different times in history when people have faced what seem to be insurmountable obstacles and wondered what it must have been like to live through that period in time. Now we all know. I want to let you all know that The Lovely Rose Apothecary will remain open as long as I am able to ship orders!
I live in Denver, CO which is a city, that has like many others, issued a Shelter in Place order. I will continue to make and ship products from my apartment as always so nothing has changed. I am following the CDC guidelines for social distancing and keeping my space clean and disinfected as per usual. In the next few days and weeks, I will be adding posts to our blog regarding self-care and skincare routines to pamper yourself. I will continue to post Man Crush Monday, Woman Crush Wednesday and Film Noir Friday to our Instagram feed @thelovelyroseapothecary. I will also resume our weekly Friday newsletter with Film Noir Friday picks, Saturday Night Vintage Cocktail recipes as well as product highlights and news from The Lovely Rose.
I will also be adding some Limited Edition Beauty Sets to the website this week that can help you to unwind, de-stress and care for yourself during these difficult times. I'm checking email multiple times a day at email@example.com and you can always reach me through DM on Instagram and Facebook Messenger as well (just click on the blue Messenger icon in the bottom left of any page on our website.) if you have any questions or concerns. Orders from the month of March were delayed as I waited for ingredients to arrive from my overwhelmed suppliers. Now that I have received everything you should see all orders shipping and orders going forward will ship within 48 hours on the following schedule:

Order placed Monday will Ship Wednesday
Order placed Tuesday will Ship Thursday
Order placed Wednesday will Ship Friday
Order placed Thursday will Ship Saturday
Order placed Friday / Saturday will Ship Monday
Order placed Sunday will Ship Tuesday
All Subscribe & Save orders will ship on the billing date unless that falls on a Sunday. In that case, your Subscribe & Save order will ship on Monday.

I will also be rolling out a new Loyalty Points Program in the next week! This is something I've had planned for a while and I think it's the perfect time as you, my customers, are the most important thing to my business and you deserve to be rewarded! If you have already signed up for our current loyalty program any points you have will transfer to your new account so don't worry you won't lose any hard-earned points from previous purchases :)
